Our client is based in Ireland. With over 40 years’ experience supplying a global customer base in over 70 countries and with more than 2000 customers, they required a partner to ensure their import and export consignments arrived on time and without damage. The majority of their cargo is forwarded by sea freight, importing from India, China and SE Asia and exporting the majority of their shipments to North and South America.
Solution
With a substantial volume of cargo transiting by LCL sea freight, it was essential that our overseas partners liaised closely with our client’s suppliers to ensure the cargoes were suitable crated and packed for safe transit. Operating in a price sensitive market, freight rate was also important. Providing weekly consolidation services directly into Dublin we were able to provide a continual supply of parts from their overseas suppliers and with TCB Group controlling the entire supply chain through to door delivery, we are able to ensure that each consignment arrives intact and without damage.
With the TCB Group transport management system receiving tracking updates directly from the ocean carrier and updating our client automatically via online tracking or auto generated report. All the interested parties were kept fully advised of the delivery schedules.
Outcome
