With demand increasing for fulfilment and order replenishment services, the company has increased its storage capacity by an additional 50%.
The TCB Group hub in Liverpool has become a key platform for the group providing pick and pack, cargo handling and distribution services throughout the UK alongside the traditional freight forwarding services.
“Demand for our order replenishment services has rocketed, particularly from our Northern Irish customers looking for guaranteed next day delivery into England and greater supply chain flexibility for their UK customer base,” said Operations Manager Nathan Shersby.
The importance of the Liverpool hub has been underlined by recent ongoing investment in the facility. In addition to the extended space, the company has introduced narrow isle racking in the existing facility as well as their first ‘Bendi’ articulated fork truck.
The Bendi Articulated Forklift truck is specialist equipment that operates in very narrow environments and gives access to the highest racking bays, enhancing capacity and operational efficiency.
With services ranging from order fulfilment, consignment stock holding and vendor managed inventory, TCB Group is able to add significant value to the supply chain from the Liverpool facility.
