Problem
A manufacturing firm based in Northern Ireland; Co. Tyrone was needing a partner to help transport
big machinery to China. As they are OOG products and won’t fit into a standard container TCB Group
needed innovative thinking to transport it from origin to destination.
The machines that needed moving are for materials processing, some of the functionality includes
screening and separating a wide variety of materials in industries such as recycling and construction.
Solution
The proposal to this company was to move all OOG items (quarry machines) up to our Belfast warehouse to
arrange loading, packing, lashing and securing. We needed to detach the machines into sizeable
parts to fit into standard containers at our Belfast warehouse.
This took plenty of planning from our operations team to have the machines delivered to Belfast
from Co. Tyrone, once delivered we had to look at crane hire and project management.
Outcome
Once all machine parts were lashed and secured in standard shipping containers, we were then able
to ensure safe delivery from Belfast to Shanghai. All containers were delivered on time with the
company receiving updates on the progress and location of their shipments upon request.
